ACADEMIC COMMITTEE
The call for paper for the 2009 conference is
now closed
As many of you will already know,
Professor Andrew Prescott who was the first Director of the centre
for the study of Freemasonry at the University of Sheffield has
moved on to new pastures at the University of Lampter, Wales. Andrew
was instrumental in creating and holding the first International
Conference on the History of Freemasonry (ICHF) in 2007 and we offer
our thanks and best wishes for his future career but he stated that
he will continue to support and contribute to ICHF.
Andrew's successor as Director at the
Centre for Research into Freemasonry at the University of Sheffield
is Dr. Andreas Önnerfors previously of the
University of Lund, Sweden. Andreas is also fully supportive
of ICHF. However, 'a new broom sweeps clean' so the saying goes and
he intends to completely revamp the Academic Committee and the way
it functions. Other than saying that he intends making every member
work for the advancement of ICHF he is giving little away but we
expect to be able to supply more information on this page in the
very near future.
Meantime please keep checking this
web site as new material will continue to be added on regular basis.
