The first ICHF held in 2007 was something of an experiment. It was a complete surprise when more than 82 proposals were received. In order to test the range, depth and quality a large number were accepted. A number required additional work before being accepted. A small number were rejected. Three proposals for panel sessions were received and all three were accepted. ICHF 2007 proved beyond any doubt that there is a world wide interest in Freemasonry. The sheer variety of subjects associated with Freemasonry was a revelation to all concerned at ICHF. Having learned from the 2007 'experiment' it is likely that the assessment of proposals will be stricter and, unfortunately, the attendance costs higher.
